Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all have a great Easter and be safe if traveling. We dyed Easter eggs last night and my girls had a blast even though they are 8, 11 and 13. Now we are going to bake Easter cookies and wait for more family to arrive so we can have our annual Easter Egg Hunt and then Easter dinner.

Easter Treat Boxes

 Well my daughter who is in 2nd grade brought home a note at last minute saying they would be having an Easter Party Thursday which was only 2 days notice.  We agreed we would only send chips & dip then this morning on our way to school she decided that she needed treat bags for her party too. I had nothing at home so I decided to put my Silhouette Cameo to use finally. I made 22 small treat boxes for her class and 1 big treat box for the teacher.  And believe it or not it only took me 1 hour to cut them all out, add noses, ink them and fill them with goodies. When I took them to the class this evening the kids and teacher

loved them and my daughter was so proud;  she kept saying "My mom made these for me"!

I am so proud of my last minute chick treat boxes. I purchased the file from Silhouette Store and it was so easy to cut and put together. I am really loving my Cameo and can't wait to use it again.

Yard Sales

Well I am up early to try to hit a few yard sales in my area. I saw a few listed that are suppose to have scrapbook items so figured I would go check them out. I hope to find some goodies! If not that's fine since I will be checking out Joann's, Micheal's and Hobby Lobby too before I come home.

Been MIA

Sorry I have been MIA for so long but sometimes life happens like that. My family has kept me extremely busy since school started last August, then the holidays and a bad family situation happened so that meant not scrapbooking for me. Things have finally settled down some and I have been able to play with my toys some. During my time away I went from Cricut to my new love Silhouette Cameo and I am in love! There were several reasons why I made the switch but will not get into that. I decided since it had been so long since I done anything crafty that I should go through my area and box up anything I no longer wanted or needed. I have managed to get 3 boxes of rubber stamps boxed up (I have to stop buying just because it's cute and on the spur of the moment). I also have 2 boxes of misc. items boxed and ready to go. Cleaning out at first was difficult but it has gotten so easy to do now and it feels great. I was actually able to do a 6 layouts this past week and it felt great to be so productive. I will post pics of them later but warning you now that are not anything fancy just simple basic layouts. I am so far behind that I have decided to do a bunch of simple layouts which I like because it doesn't seem to take away from the pictures anyways.

Back to School!

Well it is that time again, Back to School! We have had a very busy summer with very little craft time for me but that is about to change. We also moved during the summer but we are finally situated and now with school starting back I can get back to crafting! School starts Friday, August 5th so only a couple more days. I have gotten all the girls school supplies, school clothes and shoes ( and boy is that getting expensive as they get older) now all we got to do is get hair cuts.I am actually going to be scrapping and crafting some today. Of course I can't break tradition as my oldest DD 10(almost 11) told me, I have to make teacher gifts for Back to School. So with that I am creating some cute altered notebooks and etc for the teachers. I will post pics once I am done. At least I am getting to play with new Cinch 2 making these little books!

I can not believe it is June 1st already! That means that half the year is pretty much over with. Which also means there are several holidays fast approaching and will be here before you know it. I have so many projects to get done besides my normal scrapbooking plus entertaining the kids during the summer.
I have been on a little shopping spree the last 2 weeks which has been really nice since I have not been able to shop in several months. I had to get a new Imagine (had to sell mine for bills several months back), 20 new carts, pink end caps for my I, cricut magazines, yourstory bundle, stamps, paper, and so much more! I feel like it's Christmas already!
